Developing a vibrant city brand identity

The city of Hoogstraten has many assets, like beautiful nature, worldfamous strawberries and cultural heritage. To streamline their positioning and communications, the city wanted to develop an endorsed brand identity and a citymarketing plan.

Together with CityD-WES Supermoon took on the challenge. In the first stage, CityD-WES conducted desk research, a series of interviews and participatory workshops with residents and stakeholders. Based on this research, a brand identity and strategy was developed in collaboration with Supermoon.

A living brand

After having reached a consensus on the positioning, a baseline and visual identity were developed. Supermoon also created a range of creative citymarketing initiatives to engage and appeal to the 3 target audiences: residents, companies & visitors. All the ideas were put together in a coherent citymarketing strategy and implementation plan. The roll-out of the renewed brand identity was launched in January 2022.
