Chef’s Garden - a remarkable neighbourhood restaurant
branding, creative campaigns and communication advice
How can a social, family-friendly restaurant become a remarkable hub for the local community to connect in? How can we effectively communicate that social employment, culinary enjoyment, and socialising can seamlessly go hand in hand? As the communications partner, Supermoon embraced this challenge.
In collaboration with the municipality of Boom, Vlotter launched a new concept for ‘The Chef’s Garden’. They commissioned us to market this fully renovated restaurant. We developed fresh branding, creative campaigns, and provided communications advice to achieve this vision.
Supermoon developed a creative strategy for The Chef’s Garden around the concept of a ‘special neighbourhood restaurant’. This aligns with the overarching vision of Vlotter Horeca and with the label of ‘Honest Eatery’, also given to their other successful restaurant – ‘t Steencaycken.
Core elements such as accessibility, local connections and social commitment were central to the creation of the new corporate identity. A friendly and stylish logo, a modern font and appropriate colour palette visually convey their vision. The shades of green evoke the garden, which plays an important role at the location, while the pink elements emphasise positivity.
Bringing the brand to life
After shaping the brand book, Supermoon oversaw the implementation of the corporate identity in various communications materials.
We crafted a mission statement, designed the menu, signs, uniforms and online channels, and conceptualised the integration of the branding in the restaurant’s interior. Additionally, we provided communications advice that empowered Vlotter’s internal team to spread the word effectively.
